This is the last post from our trip to Italy, our last stop was Rome. It was such an awesome city. We stayed in the Campo dei Fiori neighborhood in an Air B&B. Our room was small but clean and had everything we needed, despite the four floors worth of skinny stairs up to the room. The neighborhood was awesome with lots of restaurants nearby and an open air market everyday we were there!
The first full day we were there we did a lot of site seeing, the Colosseum, Palentine Hill, the Roman Forum and the Trevi fountain at night. It was awesome to see all of the history in Rome. We ate at Spaghetteria L’Archetto that night which was recommended by a friend and it was delicious. They had like 200 different spaghetti combos to chose from!
The next day and our very last day in Italy we took off on a run with no camera and did some site seeing that way which was actually really fun! We went up along the river to Borghese gardens then we stumbled up on the Spanish steps and later went to the Pantheon. Our trip to Italy was just amazing and I wouldn’t change one thing about it!
For our first day of site seeing I wore this floral dress with my trusty chambray over it. I was also very excited to be using my brand new purse and these sandals never let me down during the trip!

Sorry for the late post this morning, I went out to dinner with my girlfriends last night. Isn’t it crazy how sometimes Monday night is the only night where everyone is free? We went to Delarosa, which is always a winner! It is getting cold around here so the layers are coming out! I am obsessed with these pants Pixie pants from J.Crew. They are really thick leggings and when I saw this pair with the leather paneling I just had to have them!! For some reason these pants don’t count for the sale but the regular Pixie ones do and are totally worth it because you will be wearing them all year long!
J.Crew is having 25% off MOST things in store if you spend over $150. Click here and use the code SHOPNOW. J.Crew pants and shirt (love this one)~~Madewell sweater~~Parris handbag~~Maiden Lane shoes via Gilt (similar here or here)~~Bauble Bar earrings
What a busy weekend, I am sad it is already over. We had friends in town from Colorado this weekend. On Friday we went to dinner and then out to celebrate our friends recent engagement. Saturday we headed down to Carmel for a relaxing night of catching up with old friends.
It is starting to cool down around here so my scarfs are coming out. Last Friday for work I wore this outfit and bundled up with this cozy scarf from my in-laws. I think the little pom poms on the bottom are just so cute!! I also really liked the way the tweed and plaid played off each other.
Happy Monday y’all! Paige jeans~~Anthropologie blouse (also seen here)~~Banana Republic tweed blazer (similar here and here for $60)~~plaid scarf (similar here)~~Ava & Adien pumps via Gilt (similar here on sale)~~J.Crew belt (on sale!)~~Prada wallet~~Michael Kors watch~~Kate Spade earrings
Positano was so beautiful once we finally arrived! Coming from the Cinque Terra it took us almost a full day of trains (big and small) to reach the Almalfi Coast. But boy was it worth it! We arrived at night so waking up the next day to this beautiful place was such a treat. This town is small and primarily on a hill, so if you don’t like stairs I would not visit here. After many days of site seeing and bouncing around towns we just hung out on the beach for the day, which was nice and relaxing! The other full day we took a boat ride to Capri which was also beautiful. We made some friends on the boat ride and actually just spent most of our day over indulging in Aperol spritzers and wine! If you are looking for a mini-vacation within your sight seeing European vacation.. Positano is the perfect destination! While cruising around town I wore this light weight dress from J.Crew Factory (everything 30% off right now with the code SALE30) with my Sam Edelman sandals so I could make sure to be comfortable while hiking up all those stairs! As you can see my Banana Republic cross body (on sale now!) and J.Crew necklace got a lot of use on my Italian trip!
When buying dresses at the end of the summer for vacation, I always think of how I could use them in fall. I plan on throwing a sweater over this one and adding brown booties like these ones.

This past weekend my brothers were visiting from out of town so I took them up to wine country to one of my favorite spots, Michel-Schlumberger. As a group we did the 5-course wine tasting and food pairing. They chef prepares foods that pair perfectly with the wines they make on their property. It truly is a fantastic experience.
It is hard to choose a favorite course, they were all so delicious!
The weather is still beautiful out here in California, it was 80 degrees this past weekend! I chose to wear this Tucker maxi dress. I love the print on this dress because it looks fall-ish but kept me cool in the warm weather. I paired it with my favorite DVF wedges! Tucker dress (similar here)~~DVF wedges~~Banana Republic belt~~Parris handbag~~Kate Spade necklace
This past weekend it was starting to feel like fall! We are having company next weekend so we dedicated our Saturday to running errands and getting the house in order! And maybe a little brunching! While running errands I like to be comfortable but I try not to look like I just rolled out of bed (although my Lululemons are frequently worn to the grocery store). This past weekend I threw on some jeans and a chambray. I pretty much wear a chambray every weekend, this one is so so so soft, I think I need it in this color too!
I think this is the debut of my other purchase from Parris in Florence. I love the leather that this bag is made of it is really durable and a very stylish structure. And flats are always perfect for errand running!
